A nationally carded horse show judge, Katie Heberling-Peterson has over 15 years’ experience in colt starting, fixing behavioral problems and finishing colts as well as a collegiate education in Equine Science, Equine Psychology, Equine Welfare and Nutrition. Katie’s early career as an exercise rider helped her fine tune her interest in retraining off track Thoroughbreds. In 2015 she was one of several trainers selected to compete in the Retired Race Horse Project’s Thoroughbred Makeover, a competition to showcase the versatility and trainability of the Thoroughbred horse. Katie often performs often on the stallions with the Transitions Performance Team.
Melissa purchased Transitions in 2013. She is a Grand Prix Level Dressage rider and a USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist. Melissa toured for five years with the “World Famous Lipizzan Stallion Show,” performing throughout various parts of the world in front of as many as 10,000 people! For the past seven years, she has been performing with the famous
Majestic Fresian Stallions.
Her training methods are a combination of Classical Dressage and Natural Horsemanship. Melissa has an incredibly diverse background and offers beginner to advanced riding instruction with training in Dressage, jumping, English and Western pleasure, equitation, driving, Western Dressage, reining, natural horsemanship and trick training.
